DSV-M MINI ALT-AZ MOUNT with slow motion Controls

A version of the DSV-M mini Alt-Az mount with slow motion controls (DSV-Mb) is now is available for ordering. The addition of slow motion controls increases the user's ability to manually track astronomical targets, making it easier to center, and maintain centered the object being observed. DSV-2 ALT-AZ mount Rev C

The latest batch of the DSV-2 Alt-Az mount incorporates several design updates making what was already a capable, full featured mount even better. The design updates make this version a new design revision (DSV-2c) and include:

* New clutch adjustment mechanism for both axes. The new design increases the range of adjustment and makes easier to make fine adjustments to the amount of friction on the clutches. This allows to better match the mount's load and the user preferences.

* Updated method of attaching the saddles to the mount, similar to the larger DSV-3 mount. This allows the saddles to be interchangeable, upgradeable to larger size and type and to be removed and replaced without affecting the clutch settings.

* Updated axis brake sleeves material. Now the axis brake sleeves are made from stainless steel for better reliability and braking action compared to the previous aluminum sleeves.

* The DSC cable included with the optional encoder system is now detachable for easier transport and storage (previously the cable was directly attached to the encoder units).

See the DSV-2 page for more details.
